Parking posts can be extremely useful, especially when directing traffic or organizing parking. However, there are a few things that you shouldn’t do with a parking post, ranging from using it for silly reasons to more serious ones. Here are some things you might not want to do with a parking post.
Use it as a lightsaber.
The force may be with you, but you can’t save a galaxy with a parking post. In theory, it may seem like a good idea, but it might be a better idea to consider a weapon George Lucas would approve of. Using a parking post can only end badly.
Use it to get your car trapped.
Parking posts can be an awesome way to direct traffic and to help drivers know where and where not to park. When you end up putting them your car in the wrong spot, you might find yourself trapped by parking posts instead of finding them helpful.
Use it as a walking stick.
We all need a little help getting around every now and then. Whether you are injured or elderly, it can help to have some support when you walk from spot to spot. However, if you are thinking about using a parking post for a walking stick, picking a less colorful option might be a better way to go.
Use it as an umbrella.
It is a well-known fact that into each life, a little rain must fall. Inevitably, you are going to end up in a downpour without an umbrella at some time during your life. Though you might be tempted to grab the nearest item to you to cover your head, a parking post is not an item you should use.
Use it as a baseball bat.
Everyone loves baseball, but you might not love it as much when you are playing with a parking post. You might see many of them in the parking lot at a game, but it is unlikely you will see them being used in the outfield.
Use it as a pet toy.
Though it might look like something your pet would enjoy, it might be more beneficial to give Fido a better toy that he will like more—parking posts are meant for cars, not pets!
Use it as a hockey stick.
You might think that you will play better when you have a parking post in your hand (think of the damage you can do on the ice), but more likely than not, you’ll just end up injuring yourself. Real hockey gear actually protects rather than hurts you or others around you.
Use it to clean your home.
Everyone needs to clean their home every now and then, but if you’re missing a broom or a mop, don’t think that a parking post will do the job. In fact, it will probably just make more of a mess as you try to navigate it throughout your house, knocking over things as you go.
Now that you know what you shouldn’t use a parking post for, think about using it for the right reasons—keeping traffic away from certain areas and directing drivers where to park.
Drive over it…
